Wrong Direction....

I really don’t get embarrassed that easily. I will admit that at times I have ridiculous taste in movies and TV (I shamelessly admit to loving MTV shows at 31 years old.) The is no shortage of me occasionally tripping in front of people, spilling something on myself, but I always laugh this stuff off. But last night I managed to embarrass myself big time and I am continuing to embarrassing myself as we speak…

I have been debating if I should blog about the events that occurred last night … But I decided that you need to know this about me… I understand if people decide to un-friend me… And as I sit here and think about it some more maybe embarrassed may not even be the right word to explain it…

More like, I feel like I should be 12 and admitting this not 31.

Last night was so beautiful. We have been about 100 degrees for the last 3 days but the nights have been fantastic… 75 degrees was the temperature when I got in my car. I decided to roll my down my windows to take it all in…

Naturally I turned my radio up, because who doesn’t do that?

So here I am cruising down the street, got my XM radio cranked, listening to a song that I have never heard before and really enjoying it.

I approach a red light where a handsome young man is in the car with his windows down… We exchange glances… He smiles… I smile…I am thinking ‘heck yeah I still got it.’ The song ends and the DJ comes on to say “That was the smash hit from the Boy Band ‘One Direction. Who just announce their touring this summer, I know teenage girls everywhere are going to be lined up to see that show.’

I scrambled quickly to change the station. The light turned green. And I noticed the guy was giving me a smug ‘your not so cool anymore’ smile at me as he drove off.

Totally embarrassed I continued on my way…

Now here’s the kicker, I seriously cannot get this freaking One Direction song out of my head! I am not even kidding you when I say that One Direction madness has invaded my brain. All night I kept singing “You’re turning heads when you walk through the door.”
I even asked my boyfriend I the way I flip my hair gets him overwhelmed. (I won’t tell you what he answered.. He so didn’t feel like participating)

Now all I want to do is listen to this song and have a freaking dance party… I really don’t know how to cure this…Is this like Bieber fever?

Maybe I should listen to it one more time?

Oh my goodness. I love that you posted this.

My little sister is beyond obsessed with One Direction. She begged me to play their CD in my car last weekend when I was babysitting and I liked it so much that I downloaded it to my iTunes. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

And I believe it's called the "One Direction Infection." Classy, eh? Hahaha!

When that song comes on at my middle school's dances EVERY girl screams and runs out there. That's how you know its a hot jam.

Just go with it. My 11 is obsessed with one direction, like new kids on the block style. Beiber Fever is acceptable for 31 year old. I am sure of it.

hahaha I will not listen to that song. I'm scared that I will be hooked and I will lose street cred.

I went all out for Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, Nsync, and especially Hanson when I was younger. I know how addicted I can get to boy bands - I won't let myself do it!

I read this last night at work, but couldnt comment. Then proceeded to blare this song (as loud as my work computer speakers would allow) and have a dance session in the middle of my empty office. My manager walked in on the whole ordeal.... no kidding, I was mid air guitar jamming, singing at the top of my lungs "That's what makes you beautiful" And he walked in.

At least you never have to see that guy in the car again. I will get publicly heckled for the rest of the amount of time I am employed there.

THE SHAME.

I BLAME YOU.

BUT I STILL LOVE YOU.

THIS SONG FRIGGIN ROCKS.
