Phone Photo Fun!

I took a slight vacation from my blog... It was unplanned but life got in the way...
On Friday one of my dearest friend's father passed away after a long hard fought battle with cancer... Friday night was spent sharing tears and lots of laughter while we celebrated Randy's life... And played this song over and over...

I will never listen to this song the same...

Now Randy did ask that we continue on with our life and spend each day being grateful... And that's just what I did this weekend.... Take a look :)

*Spent lots of time kissing on the Mr.
*How can you not eat a heart doughnut?

*We went to the Phoenix Suns game and met Eddie Johnson (He's a big deal to us Phoenix Suns fans)
*But the highlight of my night was meeting Ronald McDonald!!!! That's right you see he even put his arm around me?!?!?!?!?!?!?! So exciting!

*On Sunday morning I woke up and refused to be lazy... I convinced the Mr. that we needed to finally finish the table project that has been sitting in the garage since October... This little baby I scored for $2 at a garage sale.
*And I also decided that the knife block needed some painting... Thank you pinterest!

*And now I am spending my day off relaxing in my new socks I scored at Target for $0.75 (good god pay no attention to my white ass legs) in my clean house, reading blogs and doing laundry.... An almost perfect day if you ask me.....

Thanks for swinging by my blog! Why do you have so much sand in your backyard?? Do you live in Arizona or desert area? Sand is definitely way more enjoyable with water around ;-)

Sorry to hear about the loss girl! Glad you guys are living your life as he would want you too! Props to you for getting the "Mr." up and motivated to finish projects! Keep up that good work! And I just got tanning bed visits today because of my terribly white legs!

I would have been excited to meet Ronald McDonald too! Can't wait to see the final picture of your finished table.

I hate to pay for tans when it's always sunny in Phoenix but maybe I should consider... It was easy to get him up and motivated because it involved a trip to Home Depot (It's like Target to girls I guess) :)

I'm so sorry about your friend's dad. My best friend's mom passed away from cancer a few years ago, and it was such a hard time. Praying for peace and comfort for you all!

(And I absolutely love your knife block! I tried to paint ours a creamy white awhile back and hated it, but I think it's because I didn't distress it. Yours looks so wonderful! Did you use spray paint, or did you brush it on?)
