This weekend, Colby was complaining about
needing more clothes for work. So
naturally, I got excited when he asked if we could go shopping at TJ Maxx.
Does anyone else get excited when their
husband/boyfriend who never wants to go shopping, actually wants to go
shopping?
Colby: "OK, I’m wanna try on about five pairs of jeans and maybe 3 shirts."
Me: "That's fine."
Me: After spending about 4 minutes picking out the five pairs of jeans and three shirts. "Okay, here, try this stuff on."
Colby: "You have to come with me! Please! I neeeeeeeeed you to help me.”
Me: "No, sorry Babe, I have to go look at boots."
Colby: "But what if the pants look funny or they make my ass look big, and I can't tell?!?!?"
Me: "FINE. I’ll come with you. But then I’m gonna need some me shopping time."
Colby: “Deal.”
After what felt like an eternity
Me: "HURRY UP, COLBY, I SWEAR IT TAKES YOU TEN MINUTES TO CHANGE IN AND OUT OF SOME PANTS. AND STOP PRETENDING YOU’RE A MODEL. STOP WALKING LIKE THAT! THIS IS TJ MAXX NOT A CATWALK. PEOPLE CAN SEE YOU"
Colby: "You're just cranky because you're stuck here, in a store, with lots of clothes, jewelry, boots, purses, home goods, and I'm not letting you run wild and free."
Me: "NO! You’re annoying." After thinking about it for a few minutes, I realized he was right. (I hate when they are right.)
Colby: "I'm getting to get these pants. Let's get going, I'm hungry."
Me: "But what about the boots!? YOU PROMISED ME."
Colby: "Fine, five minutes, Courtney."
Me: "And then the purses."
Colby: "No."
Me: "What about scarves, it’s been so cold here and my neck gets sooooooo cold!"
Colby: "No. You have about 50 scarves."
Me: "Come on, you OWE me a scarf for sitting on that bench, all by myself, with nothing to do, and being well behaved."
Colby: "No. And you weren’t all by yourself with nothing to do; you were on your phone, probably Instagram, the whole time." (he knows me so well)
Me: "Maybe you should get new socks? Huh Babe wouldn’t you like to look at some socks?"
Colby: "No."
Me: "But the jewelry section, they have some awesome big rings I want to try on!"
Colby: "No!"
Me: "But what abou-"
Colby: "NO NO NO NO NO....no. Let’s go!"
Me: "This was not a fun shopping trip."
Colby: "Are you just saying that because you didn't get anything?"
Me: "Yes."

Haha - I think I got really lucky with a guy who likes to shop for me/with me as much as I like to shop for me! If I were you I'd just go shopping alone...always. Haha.
Hahahaha!!! Y'all are too cute! Chuck is the same, and will text me pics of him in items if we're not together while he's shopping. lol!
I must admit girlie I laughed during this whole post too funny! I am so glad & thankful my man likes to shop with me :) He even hold bags! He is without a doubt a keeper! I love the photo of you at end too cute of an expression to show your pitiful shopping day with the mr...
I just giggled through this whole thing. I hate shopping with my husband. Its sooo boring. I guess its how he feels when I make him go with me.
I feel like I've had this conversation before with my boyfriend. The first part of it is definitely word for word.
Whenever he needs clothes, I'm 1000x more excited than he is to go shopping.
LOL that was so funny! and so cute - you two.
