“There are certain promises you make that are more sacred than anything that happens in a court of law." Paul Castellano, Gambino boss aka gangsta or mafioso.
Today I am embracing the camera.
I am also embracing my inner gangsta.
And my friendship with this girl.
We have been friends since we were 13 years old...
We are both 31. I think that is cool.
Her oldest daughter is 13..
Her best friend came to spend the night last weekend.
We told them stories of what we use to do at our sleep overs.
We told them how we use to dress up like gangsta girls and take pictures.
Brown lip liner and all.
Then we decided to take pictures.
Just like old times.
Giggles and music filled the room as we listened to the girls gossip about girls at their school.
It made me feel like a kid again.
We were talking about how special our friendship is to the girls.
We told them the rules to follow to have a friendship like ours.
We told them to never let a guy get between them.
We told them to always be real and honest with each other.
We told them to be loyal to each other.
To share experiences and always watch out for each other.
Always be forgiving and never be selfish.
Most importantly never break promises.
We promised each other we would be best friends forever and that's a promise we intend to keep.
