It should be illegal to get sick during Christmas.

I am not done with my Christmas shopping… It’s no one’s fault but my own.
Typically I have ALWAYS had most of my shopping done by now…
Thanks to pinterest I even started getting ideas for crafty things I wanted to make for friends and family back in October.

I could never understand how people could be doing their Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve…
I didn’t understand how people could get grumpy during the happiest season of all…
Perhaps making fun of them was not a good idea…
Karma really can be a bitch.

Here’s why…

I went shopping two times and got a couple things… But I made a deal with myself that I would and could accomplish all my shopping this past weekend…

But something got in the way…
December 16th, I come home from work and become incredibly sick that I can’t move from my bed.
December 17th, still not able to move more them 2 feet from my bed.
December 18th, was able to keep my eyes open for most of the Giants game, not that it was anything to I wanted to watch.
December 19th, attempted to go to work, I even got in the shower, only to get out, call in sick and go right back to bed… I did wake up and start to move around felt somewhat better. (Christmas miracle?)

December 20th, went to work and looked at the calendar that is staring me in the face… AND then it hit me! 5 days until Christmas!

5 days until Christmas, feeling like shit, sitting at work, freaking out… The only thing that could save me is Christmas Cheer… Which I was severely lacking…

I tried everything I could to infect myself with it… Put on Christmas music, sang a song or two… But it didn’t work… Tried Hot Chocolate with Candy Canes…

Didn’t work… You Tubed "D!ck in a box".. Nothing… Nothing was giving me Christmas Cheer because of how stressed I was about the shopping… And who I had left to shop for… The Boys…

I had nothing for them… NOTHING! Not even a clue of what I wanted to get them…

So there I stood outside the Toy’s R us on December 20th… Parking lot packed… Aisles small and tight… The first person’s cart I hit with mine, I said I was sorry, they smiled… Next aisle, same thing, only this time I didn’t say I am sorry… Turned down the game aisle some lady is sitting text messaging someone blocking traffic, I snap “excuse me at her” in hopes she would put down her phone and kindly move aside.  NOPE! She turns and looks at me like “bitch please,” Then something happened… Call it my “inner Grinch…” But I snapped… Snapped bad… I would love to share with you what I said, but it was totally rated R and not very nice… So there she and I stood, yelling at each other, calling each other names, in Toys R us. So Christmas…

It wasn’t until my boyfriend grabbed me and told me to “shut up” that I realized what I had done… Security was close behind asking me to leave… As I walked with my head down in shame, some lady shouted “It’s Christmas you should be ashamed of yourself.”

That’s just it… I am ashamed…Very ashamed…
It is Christmas… I let the pressure of Christmas consume me and allow it to almost destroy who I am as a person… Typically this happy carefree girl…

Moral of the story… Get your shopping done early, take your vitamins, don’t go shopping with out Christmas cheer, never let your boyfriend talk you into going to Toys R Us five days before Christmas and most importantly don’t forget the reason for the season…

LOL I love this. I had a similar situation happen with me in the Sit On Santa Lap Line. I didn't even know you could fight with an elf. Sorta seemed like a bolt of lightning should have struck us both down. LOL. Ahh Christmas.. Tis the Season! :) Love the blog. Thanks for commenting so I could link over! I'm a new follower! :)

This is why when I read your post I felt much better, not about my actions, (it was still pretty awful) but my feelings... Merry Christmas to my new Grinchy Blogger friend!!! :)
